Captain Bryan is more than just a skilled angler—he’s an educator at heart. A University of Florida graduate with 17 years of experience in Florida’s educational system, Bryan brings a deep-rooted passion for teaching to the world of fishing. His background in education shines through in the way he communicates with guests of all ages, especially children. Whether he’s pointing out local marine life or explaining the importance of seagrass beds, he has a natural ability to make each trip both informative and enjoyable.
After earning his US Coast Guard Master Captain License, Captain Bryan founded Fish Hunter Tours with a clear mission: to offer more than just fishing charters. He saw an opportunity to combine his lifelong love for fishing with his dedication to environmental stewardship. With every trip, he strives to share Florida’s coastal biodiversity in a way that’s approachable, hands-on, and always respectful of the delicate ecosystems around Crystal River.
Captain Bryan also holds the Florida Friendly Fishing Guide Certification, further reinforcing his commitment to sustainable and ethical angling practices. His focus isn’t just on putting fish in the boat—it’s on building a deeper understanding of Florida’s waters, creating a lasting appreciation for the environment, and fostering memorable experiences that go far beyond the catch. Guests often walk away with a new perspective, whether it’s about fishing techniques, local habitats, or simply the joy of spending a day on the water.
